Summer in the Alps

The Italian Alps have been a popular summer holiday destination among both Italian and foreign tourists for centuries thanks to the vast natural scenery, pure air, majestic peaks and the welcoming atmosphere that only Italians can offer.

Summer in the Alps means well-being, relaxation, but also sports and activities.

There are protected natural areas like the Stelvio National Park, one of the biggest protected territories in Europe, which offer a vast range of excursions along their many walking trails where it is possible to observe the numerous species of Alpine fauna and flora in their natural habitat.

Throughout the Alps perennial glaciers and lakes, valleys and mountains as high as 4000 m are the ideal background for climbing, trekking, Nordik walking, summer skiing, horse riding, golf, tennis, swimming, trout fishing and, of course, they are a paradise for both road cycling and mountain biking.

Lovers of two wheels can find a great variety of routes, many along the stages of the famous Giro d’ Italia, like the Stelvio and Gavia Passes, which challenge even the fittest.

There is plenty to discover, so get inspired and enjoy the Italian Alps!
